Peony Pullover Knitting Kit
Bloom will ship on or before October 15th. This yarn is hand-dyed in small batches and shipped to us as each batch is completed, and we'll fulfill orders in the order they came in as shipments arrive.

Sizing
This sweater is written to have 5.5-7.5”/14-19 cm of positive ease, meaning it will be 5.5-7.5”/14-19 cm larger than your widest body circumference.See below for the full sweater schematic and sizing info.
The sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) [2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL] are designed to fit a chest circumference of 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46) [48-50, 52-54, 56-58, 60-62]”/71-76 (81-86, 91-97, 102-107, 112-117) [122-127, 132-137, 142-147, 152-157] cm.
Note from Jade: I am typically a Women’s US Medium and have a bust circumference of 37”/94cm. The white sample I’m wearing in the pattern photos is a size M.
Needles Needed
The Peony Pullover knitting kit does not include needles. Needles are available as an optional add-on.
- Size US 9 (5.5 mm) 16”/40 cm and 32”/80 cm OR 40”/102cm circular needles
- Size US 7 (4.5 mm) 16”/40 cm and 32”/80 cm OR 40”/102 cm circular needles
GAUGE
18 sts x 22 rows/rounds = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) in stockinette on Size US 8 (5 mm) needles after blocking, or size needed to achieve gauge, using Violent Cat Lady Bloom (100g/200yd/183m).
Construction
The Peony Sweater is worked top down. First, the upper back panel is worked in stockinette with shoulder shaping to underarm. Then, stitches are picked up for the front right and left shoulders, which are worked separately in stockinette. After both front shoulder panels are complete, stitches are cast on for the center front neckline, and the front panel is worked in stockinette to the underarm. After completing the front, the back and front panels are connected and then the body and sleeves are knit in the round. To finish, 2x2 ribbing is worked on hem and cuffs and the collar stitches are picked up around the neckline and worked for either a rolled, folded, or turtleneck collar.
