PATTERN

The digital knitting pattern will be sent to the email entered at checkout after your order is placed. You will receive the pattern for all sizes (XS-5XL).

This sweater is written to have 2-4”/5-10 cm of positive ease, meaning it will be 2-4”/5-10 cm larger than your widest upper body circumference. See below for more sizing info.

The sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) [2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL] are designed to fit an upper body chest circumference of 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46) [48-50, 52-54, 56-58, 60-62]" / 71.1-76.2 (81.3-86.4, 91.4-96.5, 101.6-106.7, 111.8-116.8) [121.9-127.0, 132.1-137.2, 142.2-147.3, 152.4-157.5] cm.

The finished product knit in correct gauge measures:

• Chest circumference: 32.5 (38.8, 41.3, 44, 49.3) [53.3, 57.3, 61.3, 65.3]" / 82 (97, 103, 110, 123) [133, 143, 153, 163] cm.
• Length from underarm to hem: 15 (15.3, 15.8, 16.3, 16.8) [17.3, 17.8, 18.3, 18.8]" / 38 (38, 40, 41, 42) [43, 45, 46, 47] cm.
• Upper arm circumference: 12.3 (13.3, 13.8, 14.5, 16) [18, 20, 22, 24]" / 31 (33, 35, 37, 40) [45, 50, 55, 60] cm.

Note from Jade: I am typically a Women’s US Medium and have a bust circumference of 37”/94cm. The blue sample I’m wearing in the photos is a size M. The pink sample I’m wearing in the photos is a size M. 

The Waterfall Sweater knitting kit does not include needles. Needles are available as an optional add-on.

• Size US 8 (5 mm) 16”/40 cm and 32”/80 cm circular needles OR 40”/100 cm circular needles
• Size US 10 (6 mm) 16”/40 cm and 32”/80 cm circular needles OR 40”/100 cm circular needles

14 sts x 22 rows = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) on Size US 10 (6 mm) needles, or size needed to achieve gauge, using Kelbourne Woolens Germantown (100g/220yd/201m) OR Malabrigo Mecha (100g/130yd/119m).

The Waterfall Sweater is knit top-down with a circular yoke. Increases are integrated into the colorwork chart, which includes two contrast colors alongside the main color. Once the chart is complete, short rows are worked to lengthen the back of the sweater. The body and sleeves are then worked in the round in stockinette and finished with ribbed edges.
